Ensure routine and structure remains. This means bed times, wake up times, recess, lunch and after school hours.
Offer support by actively listening, acknowledging their struggles and not necessarily trying to fix the problem.
Maintain regular communication with your child whether it be at the dinner table each night or every morning when they wake up. Ask them how they are going or check in on how they are going with the classwork.
