ILLNESS, First Aid and Medications
First aid is available for minor injuries in an emergency situation only. Appropriate first aid will be administered, and if it is necessary for the student to go home, parents will be contacted. Students are unable to stay in sick bay for extended periods. If your child has a particular ongoing medical problem, please discuss this with the Principal.
All medication is to be given to the office accompanied by a permission note and instructions from parents. Parents are to sign the appropriate documents should medication be administered at school on a regular basis. Students required to leave class will be issued with a special pass. Under no circumstances IS ANY MEDICATION to be carried at school.
If a student feels sick or has an accident, they need to report to the nearest teacher or their class teacher for help. The teacher will refer the student to the first aid officer, where arrangements will be made to contact a parent or caregiver.
