A reminder that all students in Year 10 will be attending the award winning BSTREETSMART driver and passenger Road Safety Education Program which is held at the Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney Olympic Park on the 24th of August 2023.
Permission notes and payments for this excursion are due back by the 28th of June,2023. This term in PDHPE, students have studied a unit called “Safety During Adolescence”, which explores the different social contexts in which young people may find themselves. In the unit, students investigate different factors that may increase or decrease the risks of dangerous or risky situations by investigating topics on road safety, alcohol use, and drug use. We feel that this excursion will be a great way to reinforce the content taught in the course and would like to see as many students from Year 10 attend as possible. The school has subsidised the cost of this excursion to encourage as many students as possible to attend.
All we ask is for your child to return the signed permission note to Mr Safadi or their year adviser Miss Buttigieg and pay their $20 to the front office, before Wednesday 28th of June (Wk 10, Term 2). Students are required to adhere to this deadline as we have to submit final numbers and pay to secure our booking prior to the event.
